Red Beard Plumbing is a family owned and operated business founded in 2018 by Gareth & Brooke Mays, we are a dynamic and innovative local business servicing the Gold Coast, Tweed and Logan areas.
Our unique business can offer the best of both worlds with upfront fixed pricing on all standard domestic and commercial maintenance jobs or our competitive hourly rate for those larger renovations and new builds.
Gareth has over 20 years’ experience in the plumbing industry, starting part-time in 1996-97 working as a labourer in a family business Gareth worked his way up from Apprentice to Plumbing Supervisor to Operations & Service Manager finally leaving and establishing Red Beard Plumbing in 2018.
Gareth has worked all over Australia, New Zealand, Canada and parts of Asia, also undertaking some service training in the United States to gain further experience and skills in which we are happy to showcase when attending your property.

Needed an old vanity replaced with a new one after a hose burst and a couple of mixers replaced and a valve replaced on my hot water system. After previously being stuffed around by 2 other plumbers for weeks on end and they eventually just didn’t bother turning up, it was great to get a quote and the job completed a week later. Very reasonable prices and great work. Good communication too. Highly recommend Red Beard plumbing. Can’t speak highly enough of them.

Called on Friday afternoon before long weekend and requested soonest. The new tank and fixtures arrived at 0730 Tuesday. Installers around 9 am and work finished and cleaned up in less than 4 hours. They were knowledgable and tidy. I recommend this company but hope I don't need another tank soon. Cheers

We used the service of Red Beard Plumbing for the first time a little while ago as they came highly recommended. They replaced a storm water grate in the driveway at one of our commercial properties. They looked after everything including the excavating and the concreting around the grate and they also made sure that the job was done in a safe and tidy manner. They did an outstanding job that even surpassed our expectations. The other day we used their service again and for the second time to fix a broken water heater in one of our other commercial properties. Another Plumber, that has been in the area for many years that our Tenant called initially, wanted to just replace the water heater straight up at a cost of more than $2,000. Red Beard Plumbing had a look at the job and repaired the water heater for a cost of $350. Very professional all the way through, honest, reliable, excellent workmanship and jobs done on time, when promised and as agreed. We can more than highly recommend Red Beard Plumbing. An absolutely fantastic and professional company to deal with. Very happy new customer.

Wow. Got quotes from at least 6 other plumbing companies on the Gold Coast to swap over a mixer tap, just swap - I had the mixer, all quotes were over $250. One guy turned up - had look and said $330 !!!!. So I tried Red Beard, the plumber installed the new mixer, also replaced washers on taps in the laundry and shower which were buggered, and the charge was $190. The plumber was such a nice guy. Brilliant.
